Will I get painful cramps and bleeding when taking Rigevidon?
It's normal to get short-term side effects like cramps or light spotting when you start taking Rigevidon or another contraceptive pill. These should settle after a few months as your body gets used to the hormones in the pill.
If you are getting irregular bleeding, you should rule out other causes as well. You could do an STI screen to rule out infection, a pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy, and if you are 25 years old or over, ensure you are up to date with your cervical screening (smear test).
If you are concerned about your symptoms speak to a GP or local sexual health clinic, they may want to examine you to check everything looks healthy.
