Specialist support and advice
The Fettle team brings together public health consultants, dedicated clinicians, designers, developers, communications specialists, academics and administrators.
We’re building a holistic service that gives our users the tools, information and confidence to manage their health with ease.
Our expert clinical team is available to answer your queries, questions or concerns throughout the process.
Privacy and confidentiality
Security and privacy are paramount to us, online and offline. Fettle has been designed to respect you as an individual and to protect the data you share with us.
We use an anonymised coding system for returning samples to the labs and never put a name to any of the Fettle STI test samples processed.
We use SMS (text messaging) a lot. We think it’s the most private way to keep you up to date with the progress of your order with us, whether it’s for STI testing, contraception or support and advice.
Fettle STI tests are delivered to your door in discreet packaging via Royal Mail Next Day. The kit fits through any standard letterbox, and you don’t have to sign for it.
Reinvesting in public services
SH:24 is a free online sexual health service, delivered in partnership with the NHS and local authorities.
Started in 2015, SH:24 has been extremely successful, but we found that it wasn't enough, with 10,000 people every month trying to access the SH:24 service in areas where we weren't able to operate.
We also knew that there were many people who wanted to access the service without having to wait for an NHS appointment, but with the same assurances of clinical quality.
So we created Fettle.
Fettle is a new online health service that draws on SH:24’s experience and is able to provide affordable, trusted services to people who can choose not to use the NHS, but still want to support it.
Fettle is committed to transparent pricing and does not make a profit. Instead, we operate a model that allows us to grow the business while re-investing any surplus in public health services through SH:24.
Getting better all the time
Fettle is openly developed with our users. We’d be lost without you. The products and services we provide, and the way you access them, is based on how well we understand you. If you think we’re getting it wrong, tell us.
If you want to talk to us about how you use our service, how we could improve, or you have an idea for a service that would help you to manage your health, tell us at email@example.com
Fettle is powered by SH:24., which is regulated by the Care Quality Commission (1-2519508791) and must meet the requirements for the regulated activities undertaken at the Practice. The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is an independent health & social care regulator. They make sure health and social care services provide people with safe, effective, compassionate, high quality care. They monitor, inspect and regulate services to make sure they meet fundamental standards of quality and safety and publish what they find, including performance ratings to help people choose their care.
