How to take Millinette 30

Take one tablet daily for 21 days straight, followed by a 7-day break. During this break, you'll usually have a withdrawal bleed. Start your next pack after the 7-day break, even if you're still bleeding.

When to try Millinette 30

Millinette 30 is a progestogen-dominant type of combined pill. If you've not used a combined pill before, it's a good one to start with, because this type of pill has the lowest increased risk of blood clots (thrombosis). If you're over 40, you should start with a progestogen-dominant pill like this.

Health benefits and health risks

The pill is generally safe to use but there are some health risks.

There's a small chance that it can increase your risk of blood clots (thrombosis). And it's very rare, but this contraception can increase your risk of breast and cervical cancer. This risk returns to normal when you stop using it

There are some benefits too. As well as working as contraception, combined pills can lower your risk of ovarian, womb and colon cancer. They can also have a positive effect on the symptoms of acne, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and endometriosis.
