How many times can you take the morning after pill?

There is no limit to the number of times you can take the emergency contraceptive pill (the morning after pill) in your lifetime.

That said, using emergency contraception pills repeatedly is not recommended as a regular method of contraception. They are not as reliable as using a regular contraception method because the emergency contraception only works if it's taken before you have ovulated.

Emergency contraception pills can be taken more than once during a menstrual cycle. If you need to use it twice within 7 days, you must take same type of pill each time. It will be less effective if you take different types of pill in the same week.
