How long does trichomoniasis last without treatment?

In rare cases, it may clear up itself. But trichomoniasis is unlikely to go away without treatment. If you are diagnosed with trichomoniasis, it's recommended you get treated with antibiotics, and take the full course with no missed pills. With treatment, the infection should clear after 7 days.

If you are diagnosed with trichomoniasis, any current and recent sexual partners should be tested and treated. If they are not, this increases the risk of reinfection. Do not have sex whilst you are on treatment. And wait at least 7 days after starting treatment before having sex again.
